What is in Season?

Summer

When fishing summer months expect awesome fishing off Panama City Beach.  The bite off Panama City Beach in summer is excellent for Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Gray Triggerfish.  These fish are best taken bottom fishing which allows anglers a lot of hands on experience.  Off the Wreck Raider expect to fish mainly with live baits.

Mahi  Mahi run off Panama City Beach mostly in June and July.  May and August also see some nice drift beds in shore.  This is when large Sargasum beds drift in close to Panama City Beach from  far off shore.  Fishing these beds with live bait can produce excellent mahi mahi fishing.  Check our videos for some off last summers action.  Beds are often found in route to our grouper and snapper spots.  This is exciting charter fishing - Panama City Beach’s best fish action.   

Spring

Panama City Beach fishing in the spring really kicks in April 14^th.  Red Snapper is open for harvest April 14^th through October 31^st. Flounder bite off Panama City Beach is excellent in March as can be the grouper bite as the water temperatures start to rise and grouper become more active.  In spring expect to see many anglers cruising the shallow sand bars along the beach hunting cobia.  Cobia migrate through in March and April.  These fish must be spotted and cast to.  There is a lot of riding but when you get in the fish they are large, put up a great fight, and are some of the best eating fish in the world.

Also when fishing off a charter in Panama City Beach expect kingfish to start tearing up the water in late spring.  These aggressive feeders make exciting runs and rip through the water at high speeds.

Fall

Bottom fishing is excellent in late fall.  Cooler temperatures welcome in the big flounders.  Snapper bite is strong until its season closes.  Snapper bite is actually strong year round – you just can keep them so we do not target red snapper in the closed season.  Best left alone to grow. 

Winter
